Behind the code: Dzmitry Khralovich, Engineering Manager, PandaDoc

Continuing our peek behind the code, we find another amazingly dedicated employee working his magic at the heart of our PandaDoc API. The second in our series is Engineer Manager Dzmitry Khralovich.

Dzmitry’s first interest in software development started at school as he didn’t have a computer at home. Dzmitry loved computer programming so much that he often studied it in his spare time. Recognizing Dzmitry’s passion for computer science, his teacher sent him to various competitions where he regularly won top prizes.

Dzmitry has always been interested in circuit engineering. At the age of 13, he assembled a radio and then started programming microchips. This drew Dzmitry further into the world of programming, trying out many programming languages but considers Java to be his main one.

Before PandaDoc, Dzmitry and some friends had a subscription management system startup involving CRM for accounting and attendance control for fitness centers, dance schools, etc. Proud of developing cloud services, contactless reading via NFS, and numerous other features, the team was humbled to learn customers wanted a much less complex application. The app was eventually used in three countries, and Dzmitry quickly learned the importance of putting customer needs first and foremost in every project.

As Engineering Manager for the Ecosystem Track at PandaDoc, Dzmitry is driven by success on a personal and team level when developing automation products, APIs, and integrations that enable the elimination of manual paperwork and streamline business tasks.

Dzmitry believes it all starts with a good API but recognizes that writing code is only 30 percent of success. He is a team player who works to solve each client’s problem holistically. What excites Dzmitry the most is enabling PandaDoc customers to create integrations without having to write any code.

Dzmitry appreciates his family and friends as his biggest motivators. Always a learner, he took up tennis after playing squash for several years. His love of running aligns with his philosophy:

“Without constant change, there is no movement forward. If something works well, find a way to make it even better, or you’ll quickly be left behind. In today’s world, you must run fast just to stay ahead.”
