Scene Outside Akos’s Flat in London

Akos was born in Hungary and moved to London seven years ago. He lives in a flat with another person.

He works in a warehouse from Monday to Friday. He is also a freelance writer, explaining that he fell in love with pop culture a long time ago. Storytelling is everything to Akos, whether it comes from movies, tv shows, books, or even music. He considers it the strongest and the most impactful tool one can have.

I also like to contemplate life occasionally, being inspired by experiences. Let they be failures, surprises, health issues, tough decisions, changing relationships, or unicorns.”

Here are his thoughts on living through the pandemic in England:

How has the pandemic impacted your daily life?

The government strongly advised everyone to only go out to buy food. Some people live by that some don’t. I try to stay in as much as possible. Although, I had to go back to work because of certain reasons.

When the pandemic got bad, I told my boss that I’ll stop going to work because of public transport. I was off work for two weeks. Then my boss offered to drive me to work and then back home because he needed my help. No one close to me contracted the virus — at least not yet. I hope it stays that way.
