One of the most well-known alien abduction cases in the world became cemented in UFO history the night Travis Walton underwent hypnosis. After surviving an encounter with an unidentified craft, Walton claims that he was abducted by aliens and taken aboard a spaceship. Days later, he was returned to Earth and left in the middle of a paved road. And although Walton swore his experience wasn’t his imagination or worse a fabrication for ill intentions, members of the community weren’t buying his story. Until soon after, Walton agreed to undergo regression hypnosis in an effort to find out what memories he might have suppressed.
Here’s what we know and the story hasn’t changed in almost 50 years.
On November 5th, 1975, Travis Walton and six other crew mates on his logging team worked in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. At the end of the day, the crew mates packed up and left the area for the 30-mile drive back to town in Navajo County, Arizona. As the crew traveled along a dirt road, they came upon a bright glowing light in the sky.
