What is Next For Us?
Wow! COVID-19 is creating a new set of challenges for everyone around the world right before our eyes this week. As we all are practicing social distancing you may be starting to think about how you can create or maintain employment opportunities for yourself and or your family. As you know, TPS has faced its own set of challenges over the last few months. But last week we were thrilled to announce that we are here to stay, and it looks like the timing of this news could not be better!
As the reality of COVID-19 starts to impact our economy and our daily lives, the idea of working from anywhere in the world is starting to settle in with most of us in ways we never imagined. Until now, we have heavily focused on military spouses aspiring to or currently working in technology industries only. As we move forward, we want the most impactful parts of our curriculum/content to be available to all military spouses who want to set their careers up to be more flexible, remote, and portable. Therefore, we will continue to teach military spouses “how to work anywhere in the world” by combining and restructuring parts of our Digital Career Bootcamp to serve all career-driven military spouses instead of only those focused on technology industries.
Here is an overview of what you can expect from us in 30 days.

- An updated website that provides you more information about our past, present, and future initiatives.
- An opportunity for feedback so we can incorporate your voice into our future initiatives as we begin to take bigger steps into the future.
What will happen to our community?
In order for each of you to begin creating and maintaining employment, you must have a safe and inclusive environment that welcomes the idea of “working anywhere in the world,” no matter your current location. The TPS Network is powered by Mighty Networks and is a tool for inspiration, collaboration, relationship building, and direct access to our program offerings for every military spouse across the globe.
We ask that you join our network and start sharing resources and offering support to other military spouses in need. This community is a great opportunity for you to offer and receive peer to peer mentorship, crowdsourced resources, and camaraderie no matter where you live in the world.
So what will change?
Due to our financial constraints, we have made the decision to invest our very limited resources into our curriculum and community instead of our scholarships and badge system that is hosted within our Digital Career Bootcamp. Simultaneously, we are seeking a partnership with a post-secondary institution of higher education to improve our curriculum and expand our potential reach to prospective members and partners.
This decision was not made lightly and we can assure you that it was decided based on your overwhelming amount of positive feedback and testimonials we have received over the last few months. We believe that everything happens for a reason and as we look ahead to the quickly changing economy we see a perfect place in the world for our mission.
