Mom and Dad.

Two wings of a bird during childhood.

One can learn to fly high in the sky once both wings are strong and healthy.

What is the role of Mom and Dad, individually, in the emotional growth and overall well-being of children?

Before delving deep into this question, we have to mention the importance of mindfulness and discipline in the upbringing of thriving children. One lays the foundation for a healthy EQ while the latter for a strong IQ.

Dad plays an essential role in ingraining strong and kind discipline, while Mom is responsible for practicing and instilling mindfulness.

From the moment a child is born, the Mom has two miracles of source in her body: breast milk for nourishing the body and compassion for the soul.

The child learns mindfulness through her compassion.

The source of compassion brings forward strong branches of mindfulness, which prosper into vital emotional qualities like conscience and empathy.

This process takes place in the first main step of childhood, which is the connection or attachment between Mom and child until the age of 5–6. During this stage, Dad’s role is to support the mom emotionally and physically, feeding her body and soul with love and care.

After the age of 6, Dad teaches the child to be confident and disciplined by leading through example. This includes waking up early for work, dealing with mishaps, and solving household issues. Through his actions, Dad teaches the child that problems are to be solved, and challenges are opportunities for growth.

Children who were raised with these principles and values will grow up to be emotionally and mentally strong people. They will be a huge support of love and kindness to their parents, as the way their parents used to be a strong foundation and source of life for them.

Please share with me in the comments what other essential qualities parents have to instill in their children before they leave the nest.
