[ORIGINAL ARTICLE] CHICAGO — A new, new, original poll carried out in the city of Chicago (by the author) questioned city residents about whether they thought the new federal administration will help Chicago move in the right direction. A second follow-up question asked respondents whether they believed the new administration could hurt Chicago or taking it in negative direction in any way. It was a forced choice poll, with three answers to choose from: Yes, Maybe/Neutral, No. A post-hoc question was asked of those who believed the new administration would take Chicago in a negative direction, as to in what ways they believed Chicago would be hurt.

The poll was conducted with 70 people living in different areas of the city. The following is the breakdown regarding residence location, race and gender.
