Waking up to my future

I’m waking up in a bed that’s not my own

But yet

It is

I’m waking up next to a new person

And yet

So familiar

This new life surrounds

It’s sinking in

This is the future

It’s time to begin

Hi everyone, coming to you from Virginia. Yesterday I packed up the rest of my things in a storage container and flew across the country.

It’s exciting. It’s nerve-wracking. It’s freeing.
