A world on the rebound caught in a backslide.

Weekends were just a fancy idea no one paid attention to anymore. Jim began preparing the fertilizer for the rows of tomatoes, onions, garlic, and cucumbers in his back yard. Sunday morning arrived like every other day. The epidemic took no days off.
