Funny to remember that The Thing to Do on Thanksgiving Day and New Year’s mornings when we were kids was to turn on the TV to catch the “pee-rades” (as dear old Gramudder had it). On New Year’s there was The Tournament of Roses Parade and sometimes The Mummers Parade from Philadelphia.
