I feel like such a schlep because I haven’t written in a month. I feel like I am letting my community down. Something in me aches to write, and I feel an empty void when I do not.

Lately, I have struggled to pick up the pen.

My thoughts feel shallow and undeveloped. Empty of soul and self. When challenged daily, they take on a sophistication of deep thinking and development.

I want to write. I need to write.

Filling my time with busyness — even good busyness — is a different kind of fulfilling.

Lately, I’ve been reaching different kinds of goals.

Continuous Learning Sharpens Professional Abilities

In the education field, teachers are constantly required to enroll in continuing education.

Three certifications require more brainpower and dedication than I had first considered. A high priority is a certification to better reach gifted students, another one—ESL—to better reach those whose second language is English, and a tiny third one to better develop AI skills.
