They’re ALL at the Trough and No One Represents our Interests

Here we go again. The great gnashing of teeth and rending of garments has begun in preparation for the coming nightmare of Republicans running the country. Make no mistake: these greedy, short-sighted minions of the military industrial complex are going to make life even more miserable for millions of people all around the world. This is going to happen even to many of the currently jubilant celebrators who voted for their (cough, cough) leader.

But anyone who thinks that Republicans and their “deplorables” are the problem hasn’t been paying attention.

The forgetful old man who’s getting ready to pack it in has had his own pack of minions rushing to preserve his legacy with thousands of pardons (including that of his own felon of a son who he had previously and loudly promised he would not pardon), stopgap measures to forgive a few more student loans, and several other PR friendly actions. Let’s not forget, however, that he’s also the one responsible for opening the Willow drilling project on Alaska’s north slope a day after saying we would be blocking or limiting drilling elsewhere in the state.
