Taking Up Space

A Poem

Unfinished business
Loose ends
All aspects need attention

I skip leave blank lines
For thoughts I don’t have yet
Then go back to fill them-
I require the space.

Numb
Blocking energy
Burnt out
But my clothes have no singe marks
You look put together
But it is only the drink
That makes you look whole.

Let clarity in
Set intentions
Make commitments

You are alive
So do
What you meant to do
Contemplate the Fog
From the 19th floor.
