Every state is different as is reflected in the laws they enact. Some big difference in state laws you might notice when moving from one state to another are gun control laws, custody laws, divorce laws, business laws and marriage laws. Some make more sense than others. Then there are those that make absolutely no sense at all. Some of craziest laws in Illinois are listed below.

1) In Illinois, it is illegal for anyone to give lighted cigars to dogs, cats, and other domesticated animal kept as pets. The really incredible thing is that there must have been enough people doing this for the government to determine a law was needed to prohibit it!

2) In the state of Illinois it is illegal to eavesdrop on your own conversation. This is punishable by up to three years in state prison. How exactly does one avoid this?

3) According to a state law all bachelors must be called ‘master’, not mister, when addressed by single females. “Hey, you jerk,” is perfectly okay however.

4) In Illinois, animals must also obey the law and can go to jail if they don’t. Yes, believe it or not, a…
