the softness of his kiss
a one line poem (with audio)
the softness of his kiss
at first is gossamer, the hover
of a damselfly on summer lakes,
lacy wings that tip to break
the ripples, radiate in waves
that elongate, to roar
and rush
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤtorrential,
outward bound for sea,
river sweetness
steeped in brine
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤnow bitter, rising
thunderous and tidal high; it pounds
a sucker-punch to leave me
reeling,
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤdrowned; lost
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤdiscarded flotsam
ㅤㅤㅤㅤfloating lonely
to the beach.
