A report made by The US Market for Self-Improvement Products and Services in 2019 states that the self-help industry is an “$11 billion dollar market.” And this fact is not surprising because all humans want to have more happiness and prosperity in their lives. So, in hopes of achieving these goals, we spend large amounts of money on self-help books, videos, and coaching workshops.

And, in many cases, these self-help methods have proven to be life-altering. They provide us with new ways to tackle our problems can give us the knowledge and know-how that we need to move forward more successfully in life.

But if you are a true self-help junkie like me, you are also aware that as much help as some of these books, seminars, life coaches, and internet courses provide, many others’ claims that their facts, techniques, or strategies will be truly transformational are pure rhetoric.

Why?
