Why Do We Demonize the Wealthy?

I was having lunch recently with a friend and her 5-year-old son. I asked the boy what he wanted to be when he grows up. “I want to be rich!” He shouted. I was about to ask the boy what he will do with is money, when the mum interjected; What did I tell you about rich people? I do not want you to be greedy.

Both I and the boy gave each other that look of “what did we just do?”
