Your Creativity Isn’t Wasted If You Can’t Write Today

Don’t fry your brain for nothing

Life happens. Sometimes things get in the way to keep you from being able to write. Other days, no matter how hard you try, you’re too distracted to come up with a sentence. Maybe the kids need your help with a project, or you have to play referee between two of them.

If anyone tells you they’ve never had days like these, they’re lying to you. Even if someone spends 24/7 in front of a computer every day, there’s no way they’d spend all that time writing.

There’s no shame in not writing one day. Heck, there’s no shame in writing in a few days if you have to! As long as you come back from your rut, you’re not wasting the day at all.

It’s not the end of the world if you take a break

Forcing writing out of you is going to keep you from making quality content. A day without writing doesn’t mean you’re going to disappear in internet obscurity, either. Unless you don’t write much in the first place. But if you’re a consistent writer, a one-day break isn’t going to be the end of your writing career.
