Having moved a lot in his childhood, Sanchit (and his brother) developed a love for travel. Their experiences as children traversing the vast expanse of this wonderful nation called India was possible because his dad worked with the Indian Railways. One of the biggest employers in the world with 1.4 Million employees!

“As I moved, I didn’t get attached to places. I got attached to people.”

There was a calling that brought him back to India. Whether it was the continued talk about brain drain (and not wanting to be a part of it) or the need to contribute to it’s development. He came back to be closer to the people he wanted to help and did not like how his behavior changed while living in a land of abundance. (USA)

He had developed a strong bond with India. It was that bond that brought him back to India after stints at University of Northwestern and IIT Kharagpur.

Sanchit sees that the “Demographic Dividend” is going to become a “Demographic Liability” in case problems around Health and Skill Development are taken care of and this is what he is currently working towards.

He asks people if they want to be spectators to the change that is taking place in the world or whether they want to be the one making the change happen! (What is he talking about? Tune in to find out more)

A few of my favorite parts of the podcast where about —

  1. Thinking about sustainable solutions for problems
  2. The willingness to contribute and to make a change
  3. Conviction to have a long term perspective and taking a plunge that will have a large and lasting impact
  4. Not going in search of meaning or satisfaction outside but to figure out if there is something in now that can be done to make a difference.
