Episode 5 — The Producer
From action to “Lights, Camera, Action!”
Arun thought that the life in the Indian Navy was tough, until he became a part of the Music Industry.
Virar is a location in Mumbai that even most Mumbaikars think twice before going to. Located at the top of Mumbai, it is an upcoming residential hub that feeds the commercial center of the mega-city. For me going to Virar was more of a personal challenge. Of course I was more excited than afraid to go there given that I was supposed to meet Arun who was the founder of Nautilus Entertainment in Mumbai.
Arun’s story starts during a fateful day during his job at the Navy. While serving in the Navy, he suffered an accident and damaged his eye. It lead him to be moved to ground duty.
In 2014, he was made responsible for conducting the annual Diwali (a grand festival in India celebrated to mark the victory of good over evil). Arun discovered his ability to run an event, market it and even raised funds that was 3x the average yearly budget of the event that allowed him a lot of room to make the event bigger.
The event lead to his fateful meeting with the talented and driven L S Dogra and Vinay Gaud with whom they would end up recording their first song that was released by Zee Music and got over 65k views on YouTube!!

Passion is not a raging fire, but a slow burn. Passion is something that you pursue even when things take time to go your way. Passion is planting a tree and taking care of the sapling, doing whatever it takes to make it into a tree. I can see that Passion in Arun, I hope you do too and take the first step to fulfilling your dream, goal or passion project.
