Perkbox: an engaging investment in human happiness

We are very pleased to announce our latest investment in Perkbox, the fast growing employee and customer engagement company, based in London. When we were introduced to the Perkbox team earlier this year, we were instantly struck by the strong culture within the company and the excitement they are generating for their customers. They definitely deserve a “Sales Superstar” badge, one of the features users of their platform can award their best employees.

Saurav and Chieu, the founders, are the kind of true entrepreneurs we love to work with. Having raised a small angel round in the past, they have worked tirelessly for many years through several iterations to build a company that delivers real impact for their growing customer base. They are also attracting world class talent to the team, with experienced people such as Gautam and Paul joining to help scale the company rapidly. We look forward to helping them continue to scale in the UK and internationally, working with the Draper Venture network globally.

Employee motivation and culture is a fundamental issue for today’s best companies, small and large, and the Perkbox rewards and recognition platform is the best we have seen. Millennials require more than just a job, and Perkbox enables companies to support their staff with a wide variety of benefits, rewards, health and wellness programmes and educational support. Perkbox, as a leader in employee satisfaction sits alongside other SaaS companies we have invested in, global leaders in the customer satisfaction space, such as Trustpilot and Conversocial; while Perkbox’s growing focus on employee wellbeing compliments our companies such as Graze, Push Doctor and Lifesum.

We are excited to be leading this growth round in Perkbox alongside a great angel group including Alex Chesterman, Sherry Coutu, Andy Phillipps, and Simon Murdoch and with the crowd via Seedrs; quality investors have worked with and respected for years. We are strong believers that VCs, angels and the crowd can work together to provide the right long term patient capital to the best entrepreneurs, empowering teams to build global companies that last. We are excited to be a part of the Perkbox story as they continue their mission to transform unhappy workplaces globally.
