Disclaimer: There are no bad Harry Potter books. It might sound like I’m being critical when forced to compare them against each other, but that’s just the nature of comparison.

Picking a favorite Harry Potter book is like picking a favorite child.

But this is the internet, and the people clamor for — nay, demand — interesting content centered around their most beloved stories. So let’s do this!

I divided my list into four tiers. The idea is to give you some indication of how wide the gaps are between books. For instance, I would need less convincing to switch Stone and Chamber (both tier 4) than I would to switch Chamber and Order (tier 4 and 3, respectively).
