The philosophy of balance? šŸ¤”

I sent my Soul through the Invisible,
Some letter of that After-life to spell:
And by and by my Soul return’d to me,
And answer’d ā€œI Myself am Heaven and Hellā€œ
- Omar Khayyam

I was resting at home, listening to music and having time to kill, when I received a message from a friend in a group chat on whatsapp, having APJ’s thinking pose pic and which went was as follows:

Ego - Kill it. Love - Value it. Smile - Keep it. Gossip - Ignore it. Success - Achieve it. Jealousy - Distance it. Knowledge - acquire it. Confidence -Trust it.

Nothing personal against the late president but tired of the overkill idealistic bigoted goodwill imposing messages, the satirist in me got triggered and seeing an opportunity to troll and lead to a conversation, I replied to this message with a counter quote from, my man, Wily Shakes P:

Those that much covet are with gain so fond,
For what they have not, that which they possess
They scatter and unloose it from their bond,
And so, by hoping more, they have but less;
Or, gaining more, the profit of excess
Is but to surfeit, and such griefs sustain,
That they prove bankrupt in this poor-rich gain.

And then, all hell broke loose as I do this sporadically whenever I see an opportunity to mess with people’s head and in-turn check if I get to learn something new. Friends defending their messages to be taken only in gist & in friendly manner and mocking me as a depressed jerk; whether I ever converse normally which inspired me to convey the following perspective:

ā€œEach person has chaos and harmony (everything else are derivatives of these two fundamental ideologies) present in them weighed against each other on a scale. For some the tip is more inclined towards chaos, for some towards harmony. Both share a symbiotic relationship for harmony exists to bring order to chaos and chaos thus gives purpose to existence of harmony by always providing an exception to a constructed rule. If you are in total chaos, you may think of ending existence perceiving the futility of everything and if you are in total harmony achieving all your dreams, ambitions, you will be left devoid of any challenges without a tinge of chaos.
Considering the unique nature of everyone, their appearance, beliefs, upbringing, preferences and all, the tip will never show the same reading for any two individuals. Thus, every person you come across in your life is a melodious song unlike any other else; but firstly keep an open mind and know your own tune. If you resort to absolute convictions, it may lead to cognitive stagnation and dull critical thinking. I, for now, think that for what exists, what does not exist also exists. Just because something works for you for a given scenario doesn’t mean you resort to or propagate this one size fits all solution to everyone else. There could be a lot of unexplored factors/variables into play that may have caused a certain solution to work for you but may have failed or will fail for others. One reason why we have software upgrades, savvy?

Wise words agent K. (Partly ;))

So think for yourself, don’t be sheep. Following a role model is a fallacy considering the fact that everyone’s life experiences & chemical compositions affecting body and brain functioning differ. Every time I see an affirmation of one extreme, given time, I have always come across something that counteracts it and makes sense in a given context. But ultimately these are my opinions. And if i am wrong, I don’t want to screw anyone else’s. You know yourself the best. We are all obviously free to go along with what helps us cope.ā€

The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. ~ F. Scott Fitzgerald

With credits to Rick Sanchez for ā€˜don’t be sheep’ quote & considering the end defending of my opinions is from a dialogue from the movie Gifted.

P.S: Just out of curiosity, I searched on net if APJ really quoted the ambitious idealistic message which my friend posted but found no concrete association linking him with it and on most sites, the same quote was signed as anonymous. Better check the stated facts for yourself than get swayed by any propaganda just because it may be advocated by any influential figurehead.

I know I quoted some big shots but if anyone observes any contradictions or have any disagreements anywhere, feel free to call me a hypocrite. And especially for such contemplative souls, here’s a food for thought meme:
