Every day we’re amazed at how people are coming up with new ways to use Pepo.
Hosting meetups, holding team sessions, sharing project updates, (goofing off), teaching new concepts, and raising awareness of causes. We built the social app for crypto enthusiasts to connect, and the community never ceases to surprise us with new ways of coming together.
Here are some of the most popular creative trends we’ve seen recently.
1. Explaining Crypto to the Family
Another year just wrapped up, and Pepo came home for the holidays to spread the cheer. We challenged members of the community to share and explain blockchain, crypto, or both in 30 seconds with friends and relatives over the break.

Several users have become daily contributors to Pepo, regularly sharing thoughts and ideas and engaging the community in wide-ranging discussions and trending topics.
@alexmasmej has been posting frequent updates on DAOs — decentralized autonomous organizations — which is one of the hottest topics in crypto these days.
3. Advice and Wellness
@jennMchoi has also been prolific, hosting Pepo conversations on topics ranging from advice for writers to dealing with grief. It’s great to see the community connecting as people, not just about blockchain and crypto.
4. A Place for Prolific Crypto Creators
It’s no secret that not everyone in the world shares our passion for blockchain technology (yet!) But it still came as a shock to many when YouTube suddenly banned lots of crypto content in December, leaving many prominent voices without a place to share their thoughts and innovations. Pepo extended a hand to these creators, and many joined the app to share and collaborate. #ytrefugee is one of Pepo’s top trending tags.
Week in Ethereum’s Evan Van Ness became a “YouTube refugee” on Pepo and says he has played with it daily since discovering the app for himself this fall. Evan joins other well-known voices such as Charlie Shrem and Anna George, and plenty more, that you can find by browsing in the app. Needless to say, we welcome all crypto creators to be part of the Pepo community.
5. In-Person Meetups
People have been using Pepo to coordinate bringing people together in person.
Now, Gnosis, which has been a strong supporter and partner of the Pepo app, is organizing an in-person gathering with multinational craft brewery BrewDog later this month in Berlin. So if you’re in the neighborhood, grab a beer with BrewDog and Pepo!
6. Raising Money & Awareness
The community is using Pepo to lift spirits and do good. We are inspired that people are using the app as a forum to raise awareness and make a difference.
Our CEO Jason announced a campaign to help those suffering from the devastating fires in Australia. For every like the video gets, 10 Pepos will be donated to help fight the blazes. We want to thank our generous users for their support and encourage those who can to contribute to the effort.
Explore Pepo and See for Yourself!
As we work to continue growing Pepo, we’re excited to see all the new ways the community comes up with to create and connect. Pepo is only as good as how well it serves the community, so we depend on you for feedback and new feature ideas. We welcome you to download Pepo, ask questions, and share feedback!
