These instructions are for all models of the PER 2000. The Junior model is not as simple to open as the HD and Mini, and we would like to instruct you through the process of properly opening the lid if this is your first time. Please email us at info@pulsedenergytech.com for assistance.

What you will need:

Compressed air, microfiber cloth, non alcohol based cleaner

Step 1: Unplug your machine and take it outside in the fresh air.

Step 2: With the machine upright, open the case so the inner parts are exposed. 1/2 or 3/4 open is sufficient.

Step 3: Use your canned air (you can also use a high pressure air hose) to blow out the insides to get rid of the white powdery buildup. This buildup is a normal process of the electrode tips in the spark chamber.

Step 4: Do the same to the outside of the machine, paying attention to the buttons, where the applicators connect, and any other nooks and crannies you may find. Be careful near the connectors on the top of the machine to avoid any static discharge.

Step 5: Pop off your fan covers (you do not need a screwdriver, simply pop off the front) and blow out the filters as well as the fans themselves from both directions. Return or replace the filters and place the covers back on.

Step 6: Spray the cloth with the cleaner (DO NOT spray the machine directly!) and wipe down any dust or residue you can see. During this step, take a mental note of how many hours are on your machine. The white number indicates partial hours.

You’re done!

Simple maintenance on your PER 2000 will keep it running well for years to come. Follow this checklist every 3 months or 100 hours of use to keep your machine in good shape and out of the shop.
