India’s tryst with common sense

Being a computer masters and management student of operations ,
my passion for life comes from common sense.

yes it does not answer all the questions in the world and I love the absurdity of that.

I live in country of of problems , India.
we have opinions on everything , cricket , weather , politics you name it even though we dont have basic amenities.
we are billion of people and outsiders say we are brilliant in maths and science.
We even have brilliant MBA s who are leading top companies in the world.

So what do we lack to become the greatest nation in the world and it is not like that we were never that,till 1700 , we were everything , we started the civilization in BCs with drainage pipes.We invented number zero.
We discovered ayurveda and yoga.We introduced world to meditation.We developed most arithmetic correct language in world Sanskrit . Our upanishads are so intruging that each chapter questions the previous chapter.This proves nothing is permanent , not even logic.
So what happened to us ? why did we become coolies to Europeans ?
Simple we lost sense of logic . We killed common sense with Sati , untouchability and thousands of rituals which does not make any sense at all .When science in west was making strides with electricity , telephone , planes , space exploration ,we were fighting on basis of religion and caste. Nothing in world helps you grow than common sense.

Today if I ask you if you have to open a factory which sells say pencil or clothes and options to open that factory are China or Europe ,

What will be your answer ?
China obviously for cheap labour.

Companies like Faber Castle and Marks n Spencer , Zara are thriving even after producing in the costliest region of world ie Germany and England . How Japan and Germany built itself again from devastating world war 2 in matter of 1-2 decades ?

By implementing common sense through lean methodology , eliminating muda,mura,muri — read Toyota way.By streamlining their distribution , by reducing their cycle time and this was not one day effort , years of questioning themselves “how to improve ourself tody?”

So back to us , India has big time attitude of “Chalta hai , kaam ban raha hai na” or “we ll face it when we face it”

Leave manufacturing there is no thought process in our life as well.We dont reproduce smartly — rickshawallah having 4 kids and then crying to send his kids college inspite of poverty might touch your heart , i feel its plain stupid.We just love being stupid — don’t we ?

Today most Indian uncles (also the ones having girl child) come to me and say Modi and BJP should come to power , i ask them how
BJP has proved themselves different from the existing Congress, they also have corruption scams , scandals , watch rape porn in
parliament , play divisive politics by splitting healthy relationship between different communities of India.

What will you say to red neck party in USA if they say to you only white people should stay here and if anybody
oppose , they might as well go to Canada. Dont you agree we need to ask few questions and get some reality check here?

This new party waiting to come in power molest girls in Mangalore saying they are prostitutes ,break showrooms of Archies on Valentine day.The reason being cards and roses and valentine day is not part of our culture.

I want to ask what is our culture then ? Is Kamasutra not our culture ? or it was a misdeed of
bunch of horny guys back then ?

I also don't understand why they gave me this booklet called”Love Jihad” which suggests that Muslim boys are taught to make
Hindu girls fall in love with them to get back at Hindu community.

Muslims are part of us since centuries , Indian Muslims are second largest ethnic population in the world.
Its their home as much as it is ours.I have loads of Muslim friends whose dads have served in army and they are as patriotic as any of us.How to suddenly hate them ? and why ? so that you guys get to power ? Nope not happening.

Modi has promised everything and anything possible under the sky to the voters this time and people have started believing it.How come a nation of 1 billion does not ask the question — how ? baffles me.

Day we start asking why , how , where , who , what to everything in our life..we will start moving ahead. Had Einstein had contented
himself with the laws of Newton , he would not have discovered Theory of Relativity.

India is perhaps not ready for the generation who asks questions but it will sure in future.

The day when the Indian youth emerge victorious against
the hypocrite aunties who tell them “chup , elders se aise questions nahi puchte(dont be smart by asking questions to elders)”
the uncles who say “tumhe abe samaj nahi hai (you dont have the wisdome)”
the elder brother “whats wrong , i married your sister in law so that we could buy house for 50 lakhs rs”
and many more crusaders like this

is the day when India will truly emerge from the dark ages and common sense is the passage to get to the light.
Logic earned through questioning ourselves will show us light to better the things which we are doing wrong right now.
ie agriculture,manufacturing etc. and the story of new India will start.
