There is no shortage of virtual assistants who want to work with you. There are VAs for every type of coach you can think of. From executive, to weight loss, to life and love coaches we’ve got you covered. Why? Because you represent some of the best leaders. Even VAs want to be part of your winning team.

The best leaders bring others on the journey. Like magnets, industry experts and professionals are drawn to you. As a coach, you work at a mindset level of determination and collaboration we all strive for. You have the ability to see the reality of what is yet to come.

Potential clients aren’t the only people seeking you out. High achieving virtual assistants have made their business around supporting coaches just like you. What makes coaches so successful when working with VAs? Because coaches are able to coach themselves.

Are you a coach ready to hire a VA? By duplicating your own client success model you can easily master the idea and process of working with a virtual assistant. Here are the tips that will make you successful in this area too:

Success Tip #1 — Know who you can be successful with.

Coaches are very specific about the type of clients they take on. An experienced coach knows right away who is ready and who isn’t. The same applies to their VA. Finding the expert VA in the right niche is key. Don’t waste time talking to a virtual assistant who doesn’t share your views, believe in your mission, and support the way you achieve results.

Success Tip #2 — Have a game plan.

Know what results you want. You and the VA work together to create the plan which will achieve those results. Do you need a specific duty to be taken off your plate immediately? Is this a project you want to be completed by end of year? Be specific with the timeline and know what success will look like.

Success Tip #3 — Delegate.

As a coach, you can’t do the work for your client. Use this same principle to delegate and communicate your ideas with the virtual assistant. Your job is to take raw and exceptional talent to another level. Your assistant’s job is to do the same for you.

Success Tip #4 — Communicate.

The good, the bad, the ugly you know how to tell it straight. Instead of just firing off at the mouth coaches communicate feelings and frustrations in a way someone else can improve upon. Use this same technique when working with your VA. If today was good how can tomorrow be better? If today required improvement what steps need to be taken?

Success Tip #5 — Be coachable.

There is never a time to stop learning. The ability to learn from a variety of sources is very valuable. Trust you’re the expert in your field and the VA is an expert in their field. Top leaders know how to ask for help and are always looking to improve their skills.

Success Tip #6 — Believe in what you’re building.

You are a mental athlete. The people who hire you are the best of the best. You help them break their own records. Now break your own. Believe in what you have yet to create. Work with a virtual assistant and know when you launch it, land it, or offer it you’ll be ready.

Success Tip #7 — Invest in yourself.

Every day you dare potential clients to believe you can help them achieve what they want. They are scared, unsure, and fearful. The ones to make the leap do so because they are more afraid of staying where they are or worse, falling behind. You ask them to invest themselves because you know what success looks like on the other side. There is nothing that makes you immune to this process as well.

You don’t have to be a coach to work well with VA. Nor do only coaches implement these success tips. However, coaching is a profession both in the physical and intellectual world where you teach and the efforts of your teaching are played out before everyone else’s eyes. Their reputations are on the line with every client or player they sign up. Are you comfortable enough with your leadership skills to do the same? If so, you’re ready for a virtual assistant.
