For many people the holiday season complicates things and brings added stress. It doesn’t have to be this way. Here are 3 quick tips to make sure your business is prepared for the upcoming holidays.

  1. Review the calendar for the next two months now and plan accordingly. There’s no excuse not to know how and when you can reach your VA.
  2. Set clear expectations and have a system in place to manage them. Never leave anything to be assumed. With all the hustle and bustle of the season, time change, and illnesses there has never been a time when you need to be as clear.
  3. Move up due dates on projects. It seems this time of year more than any other the unexpected occurs. You can’t always know when something is going to happen, but you can plan on the likelihood of it. On time projects will turn into last minute rush jobs.

Business doesn’t stop for the holidays. Remember you hired a VA to provide the assistance you need when you need it the most. Know what is ahead of you, be clear on what the expectations are, and plan for the unexpected.

Because you can’t do it all yourself….Melissa Smith, The PVA is the bestselling author of Hire the Right Virtual Assistant and host of the Admin to VA Summit. To learn more about working with a Virtual Assistant contact Melissa here.
