It’s the most wonderful time of the year, for food and drinks that is. This December there’s a pop up bar now open in Philly called Tinsel. The bar is located in Center City, Philadelphia, 116 S. 12th St. and hard to miss with the store front decorated with Christmas trees and lights of all sorts.

The bar is in an old jewelry store and made up of three Christmas themed rooms and a Krampus mural by local artist Scott Johnston. The drinks are all holiday themed and the bar also serves food and Christmas cookies

The bar is open Tuesday to Thursday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 2 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. With happy hour Tuesday to Friday 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. serving drafts and Christmas cocktails for $5. The bar is open until Dec. 31st and there are plans in the works for the building next year.
