Be Aware of the Stoic Ones like Seneca — They Are the Ones That Actually Change Your Psychology Forever
Because true wealth is inner freedom.
For the Stoics, their philosophy of life was like an egg.
- Logic = the eggshell.
- Physics = the egg white.
- Ethics = the yolk.
Notice how these parts go from the most superficial (the shell) to the deepest (ethics). This is no coincidence.
The Stoics believed that at the center of the egg, in the yolk, in each person’s ethics, lay the key to everything.
From there emanated the essence of their thought.
That’s why today I want to talk about Seneca and his mindset. Of the three Stoic domains, he devoted most of his work to ethics.
Imagine you’re Seneca.
Seneca was born in 4 BC in Córdoba, Spain.
In 14 AD, at just 18 years old, he was already studying in Rome, far from his family.
Imagine you’re Seneca, and your father shows up and says, “Come on, champ, to Rome, to become a man of virtue.”
