Cheap life. Low Self-steam.

Drinking wine directly from the Tetra Brik.

Pizza for breakfast.

Spaghetti for lunch.

For dinner, some chips.

That was my life from seventeen until I rock bottom at 33.

Fortunately, spirituality came into my life and set me free from the addictions and, more importantly, from my worst enemy: me.

In particular, this powerful thought from Eckhart Tolle

“Resentment, hatred, self-pity, guilt, anger, depression, jealousy, and even the slightest irritation are forms of pain. And every pleasure contains within it the seed of pain; its inseparable opposite that will manifest over time.” — Eckhart Tolle.

I had tons of accumulated pain in me. And I tried to relieve it with pleasures that turned into addictions and added more pain.
