According to an old Cherokee legend, we have two wolves inside, one black and one white, and whichever one we feed the most prevails.

But suppressing the black wolf never worked for me. It was and is very powerful. That is why I dialogue with him, trying to make him understand that the white wolf and he have a common enemy: suffering.

That is why the black wolf (the one who procrastinates) seeks immediate pleasure. He proposes anesthetizing vital suffering, although it is counterproductive in the long term.

On the other hand, the white wolf proposes to postpone pleasure and accept the pain of immediate responsibility in favor of not increasing the degree of suffering tomorrow.

It is very logical, but it is not enough to convince the black wolf to stop procrastinating and make you spend time anesthetizing yourself.

However, when you tell the black wolf that there is pleasure in what the white wolf is doing, his ears perk up, he starts wagging his tail and listens to you attentively.

Negotiate and convince your black wolf.
