Caroline Miss lived through a devastating dark night of the soul.

And she recounted it in her book Anatomy of the Spirit.

After finishing her undergraduate studies in journalism, she realized she wouldn’t fulfill her dream of winning a Pulitzer Prize before she was thirty.

As she had no plan B and was very ambitious, she fell into a depression that she defined as toxic and viscous.

Until she remembered an old exercise in college, where a professor told her, “Imagine sending four reporters to cover a building fire, and each one of them covers the story from a different street, who is telling the truth.”

And she realized that it was all a matter of perception. Maybe she was looking at the building (her life) from the wrong side.

So she decided to change her energy and travel to Alaska with some colleagues.

They took turns driving and arrived tired at the hotel where they would stay, but for some strange reason that Caroline didn’t understand, instead of resting, she left the hotel and started wandering.
