New Photobooks in The Library
Seven new photo books were added to ThePhooks library last week. Enjoy!
With the support from our members, customers, and followers, we achieved inspiring results in less than two weeks after the relaunch. Twenty new titles are in the library, many new submissions and website visitors are coming from literally the whole world!
This makes us feel we’re doing the right thing in supporting self- and indie-publishers, spreading the word about their books, and helping to sell them worldwide, wich is one of our key goals — to connect the community from different corners of the planet.

“Cairo — Aswan: the Nile Train” by GuillaumeOC

“The Last Stand” photobook by Marc Wilson
Between 2010 and 2014, Marc Wilson traveled over 23,000 miles to 143 locations along the coastlines of the UK and northern Europe, capturing the disappearing traces of World War II. In these 91 images comprising The Last Stand, we see how monumental abandoned military structures merge with shifting landscapes, telling stories of the past war.
This new, 4th edition of the book is redesigned in a larger softcover format with lay-flat pages showing these disturbing sceneries in their full potential.

The book covers 20 years of documentary photographs from around the UK by Edward Thompson.

“When In The Lone Star State” photobook by Edward Thompson
A recently published book continuing the series of Edward’s archives:
“Sixteen years ago, I photographed a long-term project about the Texas Hill Country. It was shot entirely on medium-format film and was the first long-form photo essay I had ever produced. It’s the same size and scale as my previous photo book, In-A-Gadda-Da-England, and is the second in a series of photo books from my archive.
The book was successfully crowdfunded in November 2022 and is now available for purchase. Amazingly the book is the collection of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, although I am not American (I nearly was, but that’s another story) the work was seen as significant enough to be included in their archive.”
