What I did for protecting my Twitter account

Always use Gmail address to register any web services

I was quite impressed by the article “How I Lost My $50,000 Twitter Username” because I have a simple Twitter name — @kanaya.

I often receive password-reset mails from Twitter. Appearently someone is trying to steal my Twitter account. Though my Twitter password is rigid and unique, I had used an email address that ends with my own domain name, and this had been vulnerable to attack to MX record of DNS.

As I read that article, I changed my registered email of Twitter to Gmail address. I hope this will reduce security risk of my Twitter account being stoled.
