Silly hats noisemakers cheer spirits
of the alcoholic kind

inappropriate behavior
of appropriate kind

Glittering all around

messes to the OCD crowd.

Parties near and far
parting ways, coming together
people from near and far
perhaps the parties are within for

the introverts and lawyers lying still,

celebrating the year gone by, solitary
sharing hopes for the one to come.

2019 what futures bring?

Perhaps shunning new light hoping new light will render forth

New Year’s Eve.

Happy free bewildered some occasion
celebration
concoction
elation.

Time to figure out what’s next
in line of reasoning doing thinking being.

New year is the time for reflection

Time to find a new you.

But what if you want the old ‘me’ kept?

As human we are adept
change, change of personality, fears of change of personality.

What if the concoctions, were,
replaced by peace in the world around
us no war — no screams only pleasant dreams.

Just music playing softly good reads,
radiant attractions by the fire side.

What about a life of this ‘new’?
