IN THE DARK

Often desires and emotions
Linger deep in my soul
Sometimes they are urges
that I should not think about
Needs that have gone unmet
They lay waiting,fermenting
Until they boil over
In my subconscious they surface
I can contain them no more
They affect my state of mind.
Cause me to fear
Will I become this person
Is this a person I want to be
Or
Is this the person I really am
