30 DAYS ~ 30 QUESTIONS

As human beings, we are quick to identify ourselves using our circumstances, what others think of us, our characteristics, qualities or behaviors. Often it’s easy to wear the garb of what we do when answering who are you. It’s somehow comforting to clothe ourselves in these identities. But none of those are really all that we are. And unfortunately the more we hold on to these identities, the more stunted our growth, leaving us lost and confused when these are taken away from us.

You are not your circumstances.
Circumstances, like cycles of life, change. There are good days and then there are not so good days. Who you are will still be facing each day as it comes.

You are not what you do.
When you no longer do what you do, whether by choice or not, you will still be you.

You are not your job title.
When that is taken off, you will still bear the same name that makes you, you.

You are not the roles you play in life.
We all have lots of roles to play. But none of them fully define who we are.

You are not only your beliefs.
You believed differently yesterday, you may believe something else tomorrow. You are much more than just your beliefs.

You are not your likes or dislikes.
Those too change with time. And whilst you evolve, your core accentuates you.

So who are you?
Truly. Who are you?

If you looked up your name in the dictionary what would it say?
