Three Birds did Fly

Three birds this morning I did see,
flying high above my head and me.
Life continuing through this winter cold,
hunting seeds and berries frozen in the fold.

Three birds circling for their nest,
huddling now to catch their breath,
feather to feather in their home,
for now, taking a little rest.

Winter months are harsh on our friends,
they strive to get another day done,
hanging on through bitter winds,
Spring will come again my little furry friends.
