Where are you?

I have stopped looking for you now
in places we used to meet
like in the morning
over breakfast
or at night, next to me in bed
all those texts and calls during the day
which reminded me you’re there.
I look for you now in places
I’d never thought of before
like in the other half of my sandwich
or in the scent of a night shirt
I last wore with you in bed
all those conversations and smiles I fake
they remind me you’re not here.
Where are you?
