He waited years to marry her. They had a love that existed through time and distance. The cold only made them long for each other more. Neither could make it through the snow. A longing weighted them down while the snow held them back from each other. Winter had its grip on their hearts and was slowly breaking each heart to pieces.

When spring came they would be wed. They would no longer be separated by snow drifts. Their hearts would be made whole by sharing a bed, a life, a roof, and being together through the storms for the rest of their lives. The cold would be outside their walls, not inside their hearts. Their little sleepy winter village would awaken and celebrate their wedding with great thanksgiving. Thanksgiving for the end of their long snowy winter and the end of two separate lives, because they would now be married and one!
