No nonsense, funny, introspective, figuring it out for life
I’m not sure how exactly I bumped into PlainTalkBadManners. We sometimes comment on each other’s stories or stories we’ve both read. That’s probably how our dialogue started. She’s one of those people I feel like I could sit down with at a coffee shop and start comfortably chatting — and, continue for hours. We’d talk about writing, husbands, kids, the environment, growing up, reading, and life in general — and, we’d laugh a lot!

About Me Stories
I asked for a note book. She went on to furnish me with writing paper for the rest of my childhood. I wrote poems, kept journals and wrote stories till my late teens. Writing may have saved my life, then and now. (Writers often say that, but trust me, we mean it).

Quite possibly these programmes promote anti-Semitism insidiously, promoting the glorification of the science and technology of Nazi Germany, while playing down fascist ideology and its human impact.

Long before my greying accelerated, I decided I wanted to embrace the process. Of all the older women I knew, there was only one who had never dyed her hair and never intended to. This was a woman greying steadily and shamelessly. Meanwhile, her mind and heart were all youthful energy. She embraced adventure and fun wherever she found them…

I’m not cynical, lazy, or stubborn. I’ve just worked out that the energy and focus it would take to make a real income from writing on Medium wouldn’t leave me time for other writing. You can’t have it all, not all at once anyway.
Unlearning and Learning
And I learned, that I could be enough. That there was something bigger and better I could be, if only I stopped waiting, if only I could hold that little girl and let her know that he’s gone, he’s not coming back — and it’s okay because she’s all grown up now and she has her whole life waiting for her. A life that’s waiting for her to live fully and boldly, without looking back.
