Super Bowl LI was an instant classic. The smoke was still clearing from Lady Gaga’s halftime show when the Falcons took a 28–3 lead and seemingly put the game out of reach. But then Tom Brady and the Patriots mounted an unprecedented comeback to defeat Atlanta in the first overtime in Super Bowl history. New England scored 31 unanswered points en route to winning its fifth Super Bowl. Photographer Sam Maller was in NRG Stadium to document the historic game.
