The probably most famous self-help book of 2016. The title alone made me want to read it, but also the book itself is great. The book encourages you to develop these five great values: 1. ownership, 2. you are always wrong, 3. willingness to fail and accept your flaws, 4. the ability to be rejected and reject others, and 5. remind yourself of death. At its core, the book is about finding what’s truly important to you and letting go of everything else.

A sip:

‘Life is essentially an endless series of problems. The solution to one problem is merely the creation of the next one. Don’t hope for a life without problems. There’s no such thing. Instead, hope for a life full of good problems.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck

A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life
by Mark Manson

Why read?

There are only so many things we can give a f**k about so we need to figure out which ones really matter, Manson makes clear. While money is nice, caring about what you do with your life is better, because true wealth is about experience. A much-needed grab-you-by-the-shoulders-and-look-you-in-the-eye moment of real-talk, filled with entertaining stories and profane, ruthless humour, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F**k is a refreshing slap for a generation to help them lead contented, grounded lives.
