On My Shelf with Amit Godbole — Product Tank Pune Organizer (India)
I love building products that delight. An Ex- Scientific games, EA Sports, I am currently building a product for a property tech start-up and organizing the product tank community in Pune. As a kid, I would go to our community library to study; that gave me an opportunity to read a lot of books and develop a lifelong affinity to books.

Start With Why
How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action
by Simon Sinek
This was referred to me by a friend when I started in product management and I found it more useful not only for building products but a general guide to goal setting. The book explains why many companies, although having a great product and great management fail: because they do not have a clear why or don’t have a why in general. This even applies to us in our personal life.

Don’t Make Me Think
A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability
by Steve Krug
I picked this up while reviewing UX for one of our products. If you are in the business of designing and building products like me, then I am sure you would love the insights. The book talks about the laws of usability in web design and is ideal for beginners into usability.
While the first version was released in 2000 and a lot has changed since one thing hasn’t changed very much at all and that’s how users perceive the sites that we build and how they make decisions based on those perceptions. I will recommend this to all who are keen on building an awesome User experience.

How Your Business Will Profit from Innovative and Strategic Collaboration
by David Nour
Referred to me by my CEO, this is by far a must-read for building an alternative view on disrupting products of the future. How to unite customers, employees, and organizations together and create a market gravity pull to co-create value a future. A vision that is shared and not only from top-down. The book is full of practical insights, concepts, and advice that can be used to improve business. As rightly said by David Nour “Co-creation of value takes a certain level of respect, trust, intimacy, and, most important, an authentic commitment to one another best interests”.

by James Kerr
A thought-provoking read, the book explains the ethos of the world’s most successful sporting team. Legacy is an exploration of leadership, culture, and of the techniques and tactics needed to build and hone a team that will last beyond the test of time. Infused in culture, and mystic, I was mesmerized by the long term vision explained. I recommend this as a quintessential team building book.
