Destiny’s Wings
A poem about change and hope
life’s lotus flower beauty,
life’s twisted, mournful squeals,
grey skies, lightning and thunder clouds —
Lonely teardrops in night’s darkest shadows,
others’ toxic abuse,
expectations and scorn —
chapters in life’s journey.
Metamorphosis…
a new chance
a new chapter and vision
a new opportunity to create change.
I’m hopeful, escaping sticky spiderwebs —
In icy, cloudy skies, angel wings carry me,
it is the creator of the cosmos’ destiny key.
In life, we experience both beauty and life-upending moments. Our life journeys are not always smooth and bump-free.
How we deal with the bumps and twists in life is essential for our growth and development. To develop, we need to undergo a metamorphosis. We need to shed what hinders our growth and embrace and seek change in life.
It’s vital for our well-being and continuous development.
When reading the final poem, I decided to turn it into a prompt.
Prompt: Whilst reading the poem, an image, simile or metaphor created a spark in your mind. Why not turn that spark into a poem?
I’m looking forward to reading your poems.
