Seasonal Symphony
Swinging in flow
Seasons are a reason to celebrate.
To sway with summers and get wet in the rain.
Playing volleyball on the beach
To see waves crash the coast
It’s a joie de vivre moment.
Dipped in sun and sand.
Like a falling hourglass
The four seasons, too, have their time.
Departing and coming again.
With life lessons and fresh moments
Inked in a variety of colour palettes.
Painting every moment with love.
What if they weren’t there?
We would have been doomed.
They change just like humans do.
Donning skin of every tone and type
It was as if there was a sale going on.
Displaying mannequins of facade and desires.
Seasons don’t speak yet.
Emote and attract thousands.
Like a man opening his arms
And a girl running to hug him.
It seems like we are doing the same.
Embracing all our flaws and accepting the change.
This is in response to the prompt given by Jason Edmunds related to seasons for his pub, “The Poetry Club.”
