Life is tumultuous yet beautiful.
Making us taste all types of fruits —
From sour to sweet to bitter,
Adding variations to each phase,
Showing climaxes from time to time.

What is life without struggles?
Just a plain blank cheque
With no amount entered,
Going bonkers over a predetermined situation,
While riding high on success without survival.

Like a maelstrom, it brings torrents and turbulence.
There are life lessons hidden in messages.
Prompting us to decode them
And stride forward without any hitch.
Even if it’s fake, it’s plastered with a smile.

Wild and crazy, just like anything,
Life is all about moving on.
Leaving our glorious past behind,
Because the best is yet to come,
With our dreams flying high.

No spice and melodrama,
It is nothing but an empty bowl without rice.
Sugarcoating everything yet
Acting like a diabetic without actually having it,
Complaining illogically without reasoning.

Life is meant to be enjoyed.
Like both sides of the coin
Balancing the act of light and dark
Akin to Yin and Yang
Smiling while sailing through adversity.

This poem on life’s journey and experience is inspired by Jason Edmunds prompt for his pub, “The Poetry Club.” I hope you guys enjoy it. Check it out below.
