When the fires of passion burn…

In the hearth, the fire hisses

Young lovers trade forbidden kisses

Embers burn red and yellow

Blue and gold, fade and mellow

Secrets best kept late at night

To fan the flames from ash to white

Soft, her moans, thru lips escape

Jagged breaths no more will wait

Now thru skin, she feels the sting —

Flames and cools the fever.
