Amazon’s new ad strategy is a reminder that sometimes it’s better not to see what’s in the box.

Amazon’s new Facebook ad is eerily reminiscent of Kevin Spacey’s ad for Christian morality in the 1995 film Seven.

You might ask, “Are you seriously saying no one can use the line ‘What’s in the box?’ ever again because of a movie from over two decades ago?”

Yes. That is exactly what I’m saying. At least until my generation starts to die off in 50 or so years. You ask someone 30 or older what’s in the box and they are going to think of a David Fincher thriller. Material fact.
