A Missed Opportunity at the 2024 Democratic National Convention
The loss of a fundamental “freedom” that no one talked about
The 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) was, without a doubt, one of the most inspiring and energizing DNCs I have ever witnessed. The excitement and energy at the convention was palpable. Everyone was feeling “fired up” and “ready to go.” From the youngest to the oldest, delegates at the DNC were excited about Vice President Kamala Harris becoming the 47th President of the United States and making history doing it.
An emphasis on “freedom”
The theme of “freedom” was central to the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC). Virtually every speaker referenced or alluded to “freedom.” The convention started with a campaign ad titled “Freedom,” featuring Beyoncé’s song “Freedom,” which has become Harris’ campaign anthem.
